Personally, my skin journey has always been a bit rocky. In fact, during pregnancy it’s been particularly difficult to manage due to my gluten and dairy sensitivities as well. All that said, it’s never been perfect and that’s okay. As a mom of 2, and a woman in her third trimester of pregnancy, I know every little thing I put on or in my body matters. I watch what I personally consume not just for me, but for my family as well.

Over a year ago I started to take a deeper look into high performing, high quality, non-toxic makeup brands. I decided to try Crunchi after cross comparing their ingredients with other non-toxic makeup brands and I was so happy with what I found.

The first big win was that Crunchi uses mineral based pigments. Many companies use petroleum based pigments or a combination and while both mineral and petroleum can contain heavy metals, petroleum based pigments/dyes/colorants can also contain other contaminates. Crunchi also insures its consumers are safe from heavy metals, PFAS Chemicals and benzene (common make up contaminates) by thoroughly testing their products. All testing done with the make up is in a cruelty-free environment. Both of these facts are rare in the cosmetics industry and they really stood out to me.

My Makeup Quick Tips

  • Ensure you apply your makeup with plenty of natural light

  • Wash and moisturize before application

  • To avoid irritation, dab or blot on your products – never rub

  • Always blend into your neck and chest to avoid a “mask” of makeup

  • Apply mascara in 2 coats with 10 seconds dry time between each coat

Because I love Crunchi’s products and know their ingredients are among the safest, I did join them as an advocate. If you have any questions about their line please email me at lowtoxicliving@gmail.com.

I cannot wait to chat with you!
